We make these cookies called "kipples"- my dad used to jokingly call them "kibbles"- like what you feed your dog! He sometimes still does, haha :) Anyway, its basically butter, flour, a bit of salt, sugar, and chopped almonds. You mix it together with your hands (the butter has to be kind of soft for this) until it has the consistency of crumbs. Then you mold the dough into three or four big balls of dough, and let it sit for a few hours in the fridge, covered with saran wrap or something of that sort. Then later, when the dough has hardened, you take/cut off pieces and turn them into little crescent moons, bake them (for a very short amount of time, I forget exactly how long), and then roll them in a bowl of powdered sugar (in which, we put a vanilla bean for flavor), and serve! They're SOOO good. If anyone wants the exact recipe, let me know and I can get it for you :) Merry Christmas! xxNell Tags: kipple recipe!, writer's block Current Location: home Current Mood: calm Current Music: Winter Air / Annasay
